Michelle V. Szika, Senior Exchange Coordinator and one of the Processing Managers at Legal 1031 Exchange Services, Inc., is a member of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators, Inc. (FEA). Through the FEA she has earned the designation of Certified Exchange Specialist (CES) which demonstrates her comprehensive knowledge of Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Michelle has been working in the real estate field for over 10 with the last 5 years at Legal 1031 Exchange Services, Inc. applying her knowledge and experience coordinating 1031 exchanges. Prior to joining legal 1031 she has worked as a real estate paralegal, a real estate administer and as a real estate salesperson. Having experience and education in several aspects of the real estate field, she is well versed and knowledgeable.
As a Senior Exchange Coordinator, she is responsible for the oversight and management of all aspects of the exchange transaction as qualified intermediary, including preparation of exchange documents, review of compliance with tax code rules and regulations, assistance with strategic exchange considerations and coordination with, and assistance to, exchangers and their advisors. She has experience working forward, reverse and improvement exchanges.
Michelle has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Associate’s degrees in Business Management & Paralegal Studies from Briarcliffe College. She is licensed in the State of New York as a Notary Public and a Real Estate Salesperson. As a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson, she has earned designations as a Certified Buyers Representative and Real Estate Short Sales Professional. She has also earned Certificates in Title Closing and Bookkeeping.
