Legal 1031 Exchange Services, LLC, a division of Kensington Vanguard National Land Services, is looking for candidates to fill the following positions:
 

 

Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Melville, NY

Join our team! Seeking highly self-motivated, detail-oriented candidate with a positive attitude. This is an excellent entry level position for a paralegal with real estate experience. Prior experience in any of the following areas will be considered: escrow, title, real estate, financial services.

Essential Functions:

  • Document preparation, coordination, and client contact
  • Manage client transactions
  • Track critical dates
  • Assist with customer service and administrative duties
  • Management of Escrow Accounts.
  • Communicate by phone, email and in writing with clients, their representatives and other parties involved in transactions to collect information, provide information, prepare and send documents, and oversee proper execution of documents.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate proficiency of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and public relations skills
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork
  • Must possess a strong work ethic
  • Experience with tax and real estate concepts preferred, but not required

Experience:

  • Paralegal: 1 year (Required)
  • Real Estate: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

  • Associate degree (Required)
  • Paralegal Certificate (Preferred)

Established salespeople nationwide

  • Successful candidate for this position will meet with clients to discuss potential 1031 exchange transactions, interact and help manage client referral relationships, and research 1031 issues to better inform clients and referral relationships. Prior experience working for a qualified intermediary or firm specializing in commercial real estate transactions is a plus.

    Successful candidate must have the following skills:

      • Proficient public speaker
      • Strong understanding of basic business principles
      • Strong computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
      • Ability to manage complex workload and prioritize appropriately, delegating where appropriate to support staff
      • Ability to work well and collaborate with others
      • Keen attention to detail
      • Ability to work well independently and identify opportunities
      • Highly developed organizational and analytical skills
      • Strong interpersonal communication skills
      • Ability to maintain confidential information
      • Excellent writing ability
