David J. Feeser, Esq., Exchange Director of Legal 1031 Exchange Services, LLC, is a member of the New York and Colorado Bar Associations. David has been an attorney for over 20 years and has many years of experience with 1031 exchanges. He previously worked for a major national qualified intermediary. He has taught numerous classes on IRC §1031 tax deferred exchanges for attorneys, CPAs, realtors, title companies and real estate investment associations.

David has authored and co-authored several articles on 1031 exchanges including It is never too early to start planning for a 1031 exchange, published on April 8, 2018 in the New York and New England Real Estate Journals and Ambiguous 1031 Exchange Extension Notice Puts QIs and Exchangers in an Awkward Position, published on April 22, 2020 in the New York and New England Real Estate Journals.

David has practiced real estate law in both Colorado and New York. In addition to practicing law, he has owned his own business and worked in the cable television industry. David also has extensive experience in real estate investment and management. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University and his J. D. degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
